Our approach
Evaluate first. Then treat, measure and adjust.
We focus on nonsurgical treatment for appropriate spine, disc and nerve conditions. Treatment begins with an evaluation so we can determine whether our approach is appropriate for your condition.
- 01
Evaluate
Determine what may be contributing to your symptoms.
- 02
Treat
Begin appropriate nonsurgical treatment if you are a candidate.
- 03
Measure
Track your response to treatment.
- 04
Adjust
Modify the approach based on how you respond.
Evaluate
The evaluation is a conversation, an examination and a reading of your imaging, in that order. We want to know when it started, what changes it, what you have tried and what happened. We examine the spine and the nerves that leave it — strength, reflexes, sensation, the movements that reproduce your pain. Then we look at your MRI or X-rays with those findings in front of us, rather than the other way around.
We are looking for agreement between your story, the examination and the picture. When they agree, we know what to treat. When they do not, we say so.
Treat
If you are a candidate, treatment begins at the first visit. You are seated and reclined, and the system gently separates the vertebrae to take pressure off the disc and the nerve beside it — directed at the low back or the neck, with settings set for you. How we treat, in plain English.
Measure
Before treatment starts we record the numbers that matter for your condition: pain at rest and with activity, how long you can sit or stand or walk, the nerve findings, the movements that are limited. Those same numbers are checked as care goes on. Progress is something we can show you, not something we ask you to take on faith.
Adjust
Treatment changes with your response. Settings change, the plan changes, and if the numbers are not moving we tell you and talk about what that means — including when a different kind of care is the right answer.

Who it is not for
Fractures, tumors, infection, severe osteoporosis, spinal instability, some hardware and fusions, and cord-level symptoms are not treated here. Part of the evaluation is finding those and pointing you to the right care.
